Examines the Law Commission's Consultation paper, entitled Administrative Redress: Public Bodies and the Citizen. Considers: (1) the proposals relating to the ombudsman; (2) proposals for a new monetary remedy; (3) the tone of the consultation paper; (4) the issue of serious fault; (5) the requirement that actions made the subject of liability must be "truly public"; (6) the conferral of benefit on the claimant; and (7) the movement between public and private law.
