Abstract
A DR partially enclosed within a rectangular cavity excited with a vertical monopole is examined. The structure can act as an antenna with several close radiating modes. The example considered has a dual-band characteristic, where a coupling screw is shown to significantly improve its -10dB radiation bandwidth.
