Abstract
In this essay I firstly identify the main premises of Florian Znaniecki’s programme of interpretative sociology. Next, in the framework of Znaniecki’s sociology with the humanistic coefficient, I offer illustrations of the specific research questions to pursue in the international migration studies. In the last section I identify the types of generalizations achievable through investigations of migration guided by the premises which informed Znaniecki’s programme for sociology with the humanistic coefficient.
