Abstract
The Anglican Church's (and its auxiliaries) missionary efforts in the British Caribbean are not widely known. What is even less known is what factors played the largest part in shaping said missionary efforts. This thesis aims to rectify this and to definitively answer what shaped the Church's efforts in the region the most before the abolition of slavery transpired in 1833.
