Abstract
We report novel theory and experiments for a 1550 nm VCSEL subject to different types of polarized optical injection. The theory combines the SFM with the bifurcation method to generate a new stability map in the plane of injection power and polarization angle. Very good agreement between theory and experiment is reported. © 2011 IEEE.
