Lichtenstein, J (2011) Yarico and Inkle. New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
This is a commission from the New Wolsey at Ipswich which has now been completed. It is a re-write of a popular C19th musical play by George Colman. It was suggested to me by Prof. Peter Hulme and Dr Liz Kuti. I have re-written the original in order to examine some current issues around the subject of reparations for damages in connection with the 'Black slave trade'. The production will receive a public workshop production as part of the PULSE theatre festival in May 2011. This may lead to a full production in 2012, subject to finding a co-production.
