Abstract
This chapter distinguishes between the various power configurations in UK food retailing. It is suggested that different power configurations have a different spatial presence and that there are different dynamics at work rather than one uniform process of globalization. It is pointed out that aspects of politics and regulation, as well as cultural representation, clearly interact and involve yet more complex causal accounts.
