Abstract
This article uses Lelie A. Fielder's theory of the "vanishing" Native American Princess in the liberal Western to explore and understand the representation of indigenous women in the contemporary liberal Western. Primary texts considered herein are: Hart Crane's The Bridge; Terrence Malick's The New World, and Alejandro Iñárritu's The Revenant.
