Abstract
This article looks at the role that supranational human rights bodies have during the implementation process of their orders/recommendations on reparations in individual cases. It elicits the means, roles and impact of supranational mechanisms in triggering implementation processes by looking at the actual work of UN treaty bodies and the three regional systems, through in-depth study of specific cases and semi-structured interviews with relevant stakeholders
