Abstract
Today, sensory and tracking technologies are being introduced into workplaces for self-managed wellness as well as productivity tracking, in ways Fredrick W. Taylor could only have dreamed of. This process merges wellness with productivity to measure and modulate the affective labour of resilience that is necessary to survive the turbulence of the widespread incorporation of the work design model called ‘agile’, in which workers are expected to take symbolic direction from machines.
