Abstract
This collaborative articles explores new narratives for the island of Hispaniola and recognizes the value of art and culture as a complement to the legal framework with which issues of citizenship and migration are generally approached. New perspectives, it is argued, can open positive paths towards the construction of a better future for and between the two countries that share the island.
